Throughout a long and illustrious career Fred Archer has made his bones the hard way. Tournament bass fishing before it was “in”, commercial tuna fishing on the East coast, running Shimano America's tackle division, time creating and designing for Penn and Accurate, running one of the most successful charter boats in Cabo for over a decade, and being voted one of the “Legends of Sportfishing” by Big Game Fishing Journal are a few of the things that Fred has packed into a fishing intensive life. Now he brings that experience together with his personal research to present the finest big game fishing lure systems that you can use. Wahoo, marlin, tuna, dorado, striped bass, halibut, salmon, even fresh water fish such as small mouth bass have all fallen prey to these lures. They work because they are the result of ten’s of thousands of hours of research in the outdoor laboratory coupled with Fred’s “be the fish” genius.



Captain Fred is a many times published writer and illustrator as well, with a growing library of technical books on fishing, and even a riveting fiction novel about the life of a giant Mako shark.





Captain Fred is joined by Chris Jones who grew up fishing Halibut, Sturgeon, Salmon and Striped Bass in San Francisco Bay, and later the pelagic rich waters of the Sea of Cortez and Baja's Pacific coast after moving to La Paz where his family owns and operates one of the top fishing fleets in the Baja.Chris has logged many seasons working charters for the business in La Paz and the famous Magdalena Bay.
