Rod Lathrop

Rod is 52 years young and lives in Springfield Oregon with his lovely wife Amy.

Rod is a versatile fisherman and enjoys fishing for a variety of species. Some of his favorites are

• Albacore Tuna - Personal best (PB) is 53 lbs taken in Santa Cruz, CA
• Coho & Chinook Salmon taken both in the ocean and from various rivers. PB is 38 lbs
• Sturgeon, particularly the behemoths 10' and longer! (450 lbs)
• Bass (PB 5 lbs)
• Steelhead (PB 18 lbs)
• Walleye (PB 10.4 lbs)
• Tarpon (PB 180 lbs)

Rod and Amy love to travel and have taken their fishing interests around the world. From fly fishing the chalk streams of England, to catching giant Tarpon and monster Rooster Fish in Costa Rica, to Yellowtail in Loreto, to Marlin and Dorado in Cabo San Lucas!

Rod works as a technology manager and takes a wide spectrum of friends and co-workers on his fishing expeditions. Rod owns three boats, a drift boats for rivers, an 18' foot boat for lakes, and a 23' Alumaweld Formula Vee that is his ocean Boat.

Rod and Amy became hooked on Fred Archers SuperBar System while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas where they caught everything from Dorado to Yellowfin tuna to Marlin and Sailfish, all on Pro Daisy Bars, all on the same trip!!
