READ WHAT FISHERMEN AROUND THE WORLD ARE SAYING ABOUT SUPERBARS...

Captain Frank Papp - Massachusetts

Capt. Fred,

Those bars are catching me lots of fish, especially the purple ones I run on the inside riggers. I wrote the story of a 500# Blue Marlin inhaling it!!

I've won 3rd and second at two local tournaments with those babies and your philosophies.

Captain David Brackmann, "Caliente" in California and "Caliente II" in Cabo San Lucas.

David is a top west coast marlin fisherman and west coast honcho for The Billfish Foundation...

I have been using one of your Giant squid bars since you first made them...as a teaser in your Gay Bob or rainbow color.  That squid color is candy (always been my favorite and the one color I pull 99%)...but so is that dorado and zucchini.  We frigging crush the big tuna on those bars and blue marlin too!!  Striped marlin come for bar teasers better than anything else that I have ever fished with.  As you know and few others do, we won the Western Outdoor News Tuna Tournament two years ago with your bars and didn't win last year, but took home $50,000 using the bars, which wasn't too bad!  Agree - once they bite down all they get is a Hays hook in their throat - nothing to get in the way.  Great hook sets!

Quote from Chet Spreen a top Cal/and Cabo San Lucas marlin fisherman...

"Fred, I need to re-supply my bar collection, the last of your bars you made my dad and I have finally fell apart after 13 years of striped marlin abuse in socal and Cabo. Those bars were amazing they absolutely were hands down the #1 reason we caught as many local marlin as we have over the past 15 years and in Cabo we had to be careful not to lose them to wahoo and the like."

Capt. Freddy Ruehman - Jones Inlet, Long Island

"We make the Hudson Canyon our second home when the bite is on"...

"I swear by your bars!  I have been  the only guy trolling them in my club...everyone else is running titanium bars that skip & bounce all over the place.  Ignorance is bliss, I gather.  If someone comes on our boat, they are very impressed with how your bars run.  Then they put out the same crappy coat hanger lookin' junk on their boat  that they caught a fish on once & expect to slay 'em.  Huh?????"

Chris Justice - Northern California

Hello Mr. Archer and the fine people at Archer Super Bars.

We just fished the Oregon Tuna Classic and had a fine run using the spreader bars. All of our initial fish came on the spreader bars and if we didn't have them, we would have placed a lot lower in the rankings than what we did.

However, the bad news, something really really big ate the entire super bar, took 2 bites, bit through the meatball bar, shredded the thing, then, bit the 300lb test in half and filleted the line sideways.

It was either a really big Pelagic, or a very hungry shark. That was our first take down with the spreader bar.

We just ordered 4 of them for the tournament and the 4.25" black and purple meatball is now in the stomach of some large predator fish... and I hope it is suffering a bad case of indigestion.

Hello Capt Archer and Chris,

I have attached some halibut pictures from my recent trip to Alaska. Thank you for getting me the Halibut Fishermans Bible,  I enjoyed it very much!  I learned a lot from it and it even made me rethink some of the methods that I already use to make them even more efficient.  It is nice to get a different perspective on things that I have already found to be very effective on flatties.  Other things were relatively new to me and I look forward to putting the techniques and tackle into action.  -Todd Groessl

Love your product. The black and purple meat bars have been money this season. The dorado color not so much, but I feel they add to the bait school behind my boat and bring the fish to the mexiflag feather and cedar plug chasebaits. The first trip this year, I couldn't get more then 2 lines out( both being your b/p meatbars) for 2 hrs, the fish just kept hitting them. We ended up with 38 fish, 6 over 30lbs!.

Robert - Northern California

After reading reports about Fred's bars, i ordered a couple last year. Did not have an opportunity to use them because the blue/warm water stayed way offshore. Went out for my first trip on Thursday on someone elses boat. Boated two fish first thing in the morning and then went dead for about two hours. Convinced the captain to let me try Fred's bars and the next thing we knew it was non stop action for the next three hours. We ended up with 43 albacore. Other boats did not have nearly that many. I am now a believer and plan to order more when i get the opportunity.

Way to go Fred.

Brien H. - Germany/Florida

I ordered some e-books awhile back and have read them all. Since then, I have been reviewing them over & over again due to the fact there are no oceans here in Germany. Just want to publically thank Capt Fred for sharing his vast knowledge of fish catching skills and secrets to those of us that need a little extra help. I have learned a few "secrets" that I am dying to use back in my home waters off the coast of Florida.

The best news is, today I just received my order of spiderbars. BIG Thanks to Chris for his patience in dealing with the shipment process, now we hope it's all worked out for future shipments. I just need to get to some water and use these for myself - can hardly wait!!!

Thanks again to the both of you for everything!

Brien

From the Troops

Hey, just a quick note to say Thanks for supporting us troops over here (Iraq) , we enjoyed the E-books. It has been a long 15 months, but we will be home in a few weeks. The books were a good way to pass the time and were appreciated. Here's a pic of all of us here, I'm somewhere in the crowd.

I have a daisy bar waiting for me at home and I'll definitely put it to good use. The wife keeps asking me "just what the hell is this thing". Little does she know, that I plan on ordering more until I get a full spread.

Thanks- Marty

Fred those bars work great over here... last year when the Yellow Fin Tuna didn't really show up here we came back to the dock with some fish using your bars when nobody could buy a bite.

YOUR BARS ROCK FRED.... WE WOULDN'T LEAVE THE DOCK WITHOUT THEM!!!!

Tom Carpenter - Mashpee, MA

Dear Captain Archer: I bought your New Shark Chummer’s Bible this fall and boy, did it make a difference! We used your power chumming techniques and we actually caught a mako! It was one of the rare makos we’ve ever caught in 15 years of shark fishing and the key was that we avoided any and all blue sharks in the process. Thanks so much!

I’ve included a picture of our mako herewith

Capt Tim Marking - Intimadator Sportfishing, Dana Point CA

My name is Capt Tim Marking. I am a contributing author to a few of Fred's book as well as a friend of Fred for many years. I used to hang out in Freds Capo Beach store for those who remember his cool shop back then. When I first came in the first thing he asked me was had I read any of his books. Yes. All of them before I even knew his shop was there. His response was "good then you can shop here and you know what I sell".

After buying a few shark lures over the next few weeks and a few other items I purchased 2 spreader bars. At the time they looked peculiar but he said they would just KILL the fish. OH YAH THEY DID.

To this day I have used those 2 bars for everything, on my downriggers, as shark teasers, as marlin teasers and I have caught countless tuna, dorado, yellowtail, albacore and just about anything else that can be caught trolling. But that is another story in its self.

These are some pics of what they have done on the most recent trips I have made out of Dana Point. I troll other daisy chains in my spread but the bars STILL get almost all the action. I just received a new set of 5 bars and 2 dredges so I my hang these up so as not to loose them. They have earned the right to retire with dignity and respect in my opinion.

So for those who have paid for new bars as well as those on the fence and you're wondering if they are worth the price? HELL YES! Every damn cent (as long as you do not lose them or loan them out!).

Thanks again, Fred for everything!
